The Freedivers brand was first established in 1997 as a consequence of dissatisfaction with local spearfishing gear. Their aim was to create a product that had an integrated rail system thereby increasing accuracy and reducing noise. Additionally, every one of the Freedivers products has been thoroughly tested in the Indian ocean and you can rest assured that your Freedivers gear will stand up to the harshest of diving conditions.
Developed to suit more intermediate and advanced divers, these products are very hard hitting, accurate and will deliver maximum results.
The tube is made 2mm moulded carbon fibre tube with a built in rail. Critically, the tube has designed with a deep rail to ensure accuracy and reduce noise. Also, the stainless trigger is a unique feature to the Ranger series and is designed to have a light but smooth trigger pull. Additionally, the trigger is housed in an all-black impact resistant handle that is very comfortable and will fit most diver’s hands. The handle and trigger is built with safety in mind and, as a result, the safety mechanism is easy to use with a horizontal action from left to right.
Features:
- 100% Carbon tube with rail
- Full stainless steel mechanism
- 7.1mm twin notched sprung steel shaft or 17.4 ph (Stainless steel alloy) 6.25mm Italian made Hunt shaft

When selecting your size, consider the main type of diving you will be doing. If you are diving in the open ocean for large pelagic fish, then you will be looking for the longer tubes. Sizes range from 70cm to 120cm.
In summary, the Ranger series won’t let you down and will deliver many years of great shooting.

Great Gun
I got a Bulldog Carbon 70cm speargun a couple of months ago now after owning a bulldog 80cm aluminium gun for about a year and I'm very impressed with it, the barrel is a completely made of carbon with integrated rail. The spear on the gun is excellent, hunt spears are top quality so I only have good things to say about it. The muzzle is a nice, simple and very effective design and the trigger mech and trigger are stainless steel and are reliable and very easy to use. The safety is easy to operate on the handle with the ability to press it off with your thumb without having to take your hand out of the shooting position, this is handy if you are lined up on a fish and notice you forgot to take your safety off! (I always glue my safety off regardless of the gun brand as I think they are pointless on all spearguns, a safe gun is one that's not loaded, but it worked fine before I glued it.) The gun is well made, feels very lightweight, yet solid and sturdy and all the parts line up beautifully along the length of the gun, which makes for very accurate shots. Seriously its like shooting a laser beam, I've even shot garfish and mackerel with mine! It arrived pre-rigged with a 16mm band, a muzzle bungee for easier reloading and came ready supplied with a tuna clip on the base of the handle to attach to my float line, so out of the box its ready to use straight away. A really nice feature is the inserts supplied with the band on the gun, it is fitted with small plastic inserts that go into the end of the band to attach the wishbone onto your band with, and they are so helpful when it comes to changing wishbones when you eventually need to (I know this from changing wishbones on my other bulldog speargun that I have had for over a year). The line release is very easy to reach too, which makes reloading in the water a very easy and quick process. Its all the details like this that set this gun a cut above the rest, especially given the price! All in all I would highly recommend this gun to anyone wanting to make the step over to more comfort and lighter weight gear from an aluminium speargun, or a new diver wanting to buy quality gear from the offset, it won't let you down, and as mentioned above it is very light, tracks well in the water, highly accurate and well made with quality parts and some great quality of life upgrades over other guns on the market in the same price bracket.
